Casino Mate Site Design
The site designers have thankfully decided not to go overboard with a kitsch Oz theme. The site welcomes players from all over the world and while there is a fair bit of Aussie slang on it there is nothing which is going to alienate or confuse players from elsewhere. The home page perhaps has more writing and less images than the majority of online casinos but it still managed to give off the impression of being a fun and light hearted place to spend some time. The scrolling list of recent winners was dominated by players who have won in Australian dollars when we looked but the fact that other players won in Canadian dollars and in Euros shows that the site’s appeal isn’t just restricted to Down Under.
Games
If you like to be able to choose from a big range of games then Casino Mate will blow you away. It has the full selection of Microgaming titles on it, meaning that there are more than 650 different games on it. Fans of slots games (called pokies in Aussie slang) are especially well looked after here. The great slots games on offer include different categories such as 3 reel, 5 reel and pub slots. Apocalypse Cow, Celtic Crown and Doctor Love are a few of the top titles on here. The site also offers the chance to play in slots tournaments if you like the idea of challenging yourself against other players. The other games on offer include titles such as Craps, Baccarat and Roulette but the slots are definitely the most impressive element of the site.
Our Verdict on Casino Mate
This is a highly likeable online casino which makes you feel at home right away, even if you didn’t previously know what a pokie was. The biggest advantage to playing on Casino Mate is the amazing range of slots games, but that isn’t all that is good about it. This is a strong overall casino which manages to make wagering online as fun as it should always be but which not everyone casino manages to make it.
