Microgame and Global Betting Exchange Hook Up

As we see more evidence of the growing popularity of online casinos and wagering sites all over the world it has come to light that a new link up will bring exchange betting to Italian wagerers.

The offering is based on a partnership between top Italian betting service Microgame and the betting exchange system specialist called Global Betting Exchange.

New Legislation Makes It Possible

This news comes hard on the heels of the Italian government’s announcement in the middle of January that exchange betting is going to be made legal in the country this year. Both of the firms involved in the linkup have been looking at making this move into the Italian online exchange betting market for a few years now and the recent change in the county’s legislation means that they can now move forward in earnest.

Microgame is already extremely well known as being the biggest service provider in Italy. They run the People’s Network and have more than 2 million online gaming accounts held with them. 


The new online exchange betting service is going to be named People’s IBEX and is expected to bring together gamblers, bookmakers and traders all in one place. A preview of the new service was shown to the public at the ENADA Primavera show on Rimini from the 13th through to the 16th of March.

The Microgame CEO Fabrizio D’Aloia stated that they had decided to hook up with the “best technological partner in the world”. For the part of Global Betting Exchange, their CEO Brian O’Sullivan said that Microgame is their idea of a “perfect partner”.
