Betfred to Launch Own TV Channel
The UK gambling company Betfred is to bring out its own TV channel. The launch of the new channel is set to tie in with the big horse racing known as the Cheltenham Festival which is coming up soon.
The development work on it has been done by SIS and the content will be recorded at the firm’s MediaCityUK studios which are based in Salford. Here, the new Betfred channel will be created in a process which will benefit from the full production services on offer, which includes the likes of voice overs and editing.
The channel is then going to be aired on the firm’s betting shops across the UK, of which there are 1,365. The footage on it will include analysis and other content which the firm’s punters should find of interest to them while they watch events and work out what bets to place.Fred Done is the head of Betfred and he pointed out that his company’s brand new TV channel will be located in studios which are under a mile from where he opened his very first betting shop way back in the heady days of 1967. He said that these are “exciting times” and that the channel will be set up to “educate and inform” their customers. He stated that they are in the entertainment industry and that this is a “great platform” which will be getting launched right in time for the “biggest week of the year” at Cheltenham
